The California Highway Patrol is asking for the public's help identifying a driver who fled on foot from a deadly multi-vehicle rollover crash on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Santa Clarita. Investigators were still seeking the driver as of Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026.

The collision was reported at about 4:15 p.m. on Oct. 8 on northbound State Route 14 near Via Princessa, according to the CHP. Officers responded to a report of a crash involving a white Kia K5 and a black Ram 1500 south of Via Princessa.

The CHP said the Ram overturned and came to rest in the center median, and the Kia stopped on the right shoulder. The driver of the Kia left the scene on foot. The Ram's driver was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.

Description of the driver being sought

The CHP described the Kia's driver as an adult man wearing a black shirt and denim pants who was barefoot.
